The colour is a light straw with youthful green hues. The aroma is intense and complex displaying fresh apricot, grapefruit, orange blossom and floral perfume. The palate has a lovely texture and mouthfeel without being oily as Viognier is prone to do. There is an abundance of fruit, spice, citrus and hints of green capsicum held together will zesty acidity finishing on a clean dry citrus note.
Now 2013. Tasting notes to come.
A fantastically vibrant and spicy Grenache Shiraz Mataro blend, the bottle can barely contain it! 80 year old dry grown bush vine Grenache is the real strength of this wine which shows off the very best of McLaren Vale.
