A quality shiraz from the famous McLaren Vale region. Nose: Complex aromas of red and black fruits with spicy oak notes. Palate: Flavours of sweet blackberry and some liquorice with a soft and juicy finish. Reviews: Deep ruby with slight garnet tints. There are aromas of smoked ham, juniper and black pepper as well as some sweet stewed cherry notes. There’s a subtle woodiness coming through on the nose that is grainy in profile. On the palate the wine is sweetly fruited with a generous texture that is followed by cool acidity. There is a light and finely grained tannin and there are fruit notes which are plummy with aniseed spice. Medium-length, this is a wine for earlier consumption.
